Treatment of Panic Disorder

By: Jann Kerry, Posted on: 2010-01-22

There are many thousands maybe hundreds of thousands of people that suffer from the broad overview of anxiety disorders. While these ailments may at first glance seem very different they may have more in common than we think and be easier to cure.

Conditions such as OCD, panic disorder, social phobia, and agoraphobia can produce different results in different people as well as many of the same symptoms. Feelings of uneasiness, fear, compulsive behavior, etc can be the result of these disorders.

The reason for similar symptoms may be that the conditions results from the same process that the brain uses to put you into these "states".

Once it makes this decision, is stays that way until it receives new information, which drops the level back down again. But the fly in the ointment is that anxiety, unlike other emotional responses, causes a wide range of pretty scary sensations, symptoms and thoughts. These are harmless but frightening.

The fact is there really is no miracle, in it is quite the opposite. What really happens is that anxiety is activated by a process in your brain. When your brain detects a threat it flips the process on and then when the threat is over it flip that switch back off.

As your anxiety disorder developed the switch got stuck in the "on" position. It was not by you conscious but by your subconscious which made the call that this was now the new "normal".

When you experience them, they reinforce the new anxiety setting, confirming to the brain that it is in fact correct. This causes a vicious cycle that prevents you from resetting your anxiety level.

Does this make sense? If it does continue, if it doesn't, read this again. This is vital to your understanding of your anxiety.

What if there truly was a way to deal with these disorders and it has been used by over 120,000 people worldwide. What if it involved no drugs and had a 96% success rate. Would you be interested, Well there is really is a Santa Claus Virginia.

There is such a method and it is the Linden Method. It was developed by Charles Linden in order to reverse the conditions he had lived with for many years. He was house bound for many years with agoraphobia and several other disorders.

For several years he did what others do to find a cure he saw doctors, immunologists, psychiatrists, psychologists and a myriad of alternative health givers. After not finding any significant help he made the decision he was going to find a solutions himself.

It should be clear by now that using a similar process to reverse the switch is truly the best method for addressing these disorders. Why use drugs and other medications when it is common sense that if you use a similar process it should work miraculously.

Charles came across the fact that hidden out among the masses were people just like you that were getting on with their lives after having been cured. At that time he made commitment to not stop until he found the common denominator that these folks used to flip the switch back to the normal side.

He finally discovered after interviewing dozens of people that they all did the exact same thing.
His methods are what he discovered as a result of finding some of those people and simply asking them a group of very searching questions; questions which pinpointed the behaviors and the activities that they were doing when their cure started. He wanted to know what they did to become anxiety free. Was it medication? No, never. That was clear from the research. Was it psychology? No. So what was it?

Well, it transpires that they all did the exact same things. Not one thing, a chance group of activities, coupled with a group of realizations about anxiety. You see, life circumstances, behaviors, beliefs and other life experiences can change as we move through life.

Sometimes these can create, by chance, the environment which causes changes in our anxiety levels. But they happen rarely by chance and anxiety sufferers by nature are guarded and scared, so they focus deeply on their symptoms, thoughts and situations instead of projecting their thoughts out into the world, to their challenges, their families and their jobs or past times.

The Linden Method focuses on the cause of anxiety, which has an immediate effect with permanent results.

As key he discovered these key elements he made use of them in his own life and rapidly things started to change for the better. The results were so profound that he decided to share the protocol with others after working to give the process some structure. Eventually he gave over one thousand copies of this information away from his original website.

A few days later the emails started to roll in. Letters of thanks, debts of gratitude from folks just like him who had begun to experience the same dramatic changes that he had gone through. Linden's agoraphobia just melted away and it had kept him housebound for over 4 years. He lost weight, got off his medications, started looking and feeling healthy and resumed a normal life again.

Research conducted by the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH), relating to the creation and perpetuation of anxiety, concluded that the subconscious mechanism responsible for their formation can be corrected by the principles taught by The Linden Method.
